Nestled along the picturesque South Coast/Yuin Country of NSW, Nuggan is a remarkable property that stands as a beacon of private land conservation. With its rich tapestry of biodiversity, this unique private property is more than just land—it’s a thriving ecosystem carefully nurtured by dedicated landholders. Committed to being true stewards of the environment, they have transformed Nuggan into a pioneering model of conservation, where the protection, enhancement and preservation of nature come first. At Nuggan, conservation efforts harmonize with the natural beauty of the landscape, ensuring the continuation of the natural legacy of the lush biodiversity that defines Nuggan.
Lodge Environmental have been working alongside the Nuggan landholders since 2022. Together, we have identified over 300 flora species and 100 fauna species. Highlights have included Greater Gliders, Powerful Owls, Green and Golden Bell Frogs, Sothern Myotis and Yellow-bellied Glider.
We are celebrating the work undertaken to date at Nuggan with the release of our Nuggan Biodiversity Stewardship tees.
40% of sales will go towards the Great Eastern Ranges, an independent not-for-profit that brings people together to connect, protect and regenerate nature across 3,600km of eastern Australia. The Great Eastern Ranges has already been actively involved at Nuggan, providing and planting 100s of tubestock to bring life back into cleared paddocks.
The landholders have been working with Lodge Environmental to explore various Private Land Conservation opportunities and we look forward to what the future holds for Nuggan.
